ABOUT THE ARTIST
My name is Katelyn Hawton, and I’m a deaf freelance artist with a BFA from the College of Art and Design (CAD) at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
My time at RIT was filled with growth and discovery. Through a combination of individual exploration and group collaboration, I developed both my technical abilities and my capacity to navigate challenges in the illustration process. I learned how to embrace feedback as a tool for growth, and I now approach each project with a blend of creativity and practical problem-solving.
I’m excited about the future, where I hope to continue working in a collaborative and open space that allows me to both contribute and learn, creating designs that make a meaningful impact.
